Second Ultrasound Reveals... Healthy Baby!

18 weeks and 2 days!!! The ultrasound technician was great and they kept saying how well the images were coming through!!! They counted the chambers of the heart, measured the babies stomach, the babies head and checked for everything imaginable. One of the cutest shots is of the babies foot!

We were very excited and called to tell Kristen's mom, to tell her about the visit and I started listing all the things we saw and she replied.... "You mean you have a baby?" Yes, alright maybe I'm a bit too excited about all the mundane details of what's going on inside of Kristen's belly, but boy was it a relief to hear her say, after every measurement and snapshot how healthy the baby looked and how normal the measurements were.

Then there was this shot.... Kristen's convinced he/she will be a soccer player. I don't know about soccer but an athlete at of some sort ; )

Boy or Girl, athlete or academic, all we can hope for is healthy and the ultrasound indicated that everything is developing well and the baby is healthy... we even think he/she looks happy! Maybe the baby will be a comedian. Lord knows we don't have any of those in the family.
