Baby Bathing

John T. took his first bath at home tonight! The pictures show him crying but he did have a good time splashing around before we decided to take pictures.

Thanks to Susan for the Baby bathtub!

Thanks to Marcella and Larissa for the baby bath soap, shampoo and lotion.

Thanks to Tex (John) and Julie for the sleep sack and Aunt Kathy for the wind-up giraffe!

Eating, Sleeping and What inevitably occurs after eating

And since we can't show you the eating portion because Kristen wouldn't approve and you probably don't want to see the results what inevitably occurs after eating... We'll show you the sleeping...

Umbilical Cord has gone!

John T.'s umbilical cord fell off today while I was holding him. I wouldn't have noticed, but it was stuck to my arm afterwards. I didn't know they were sticky! Grandma Joyce asked Kristen if she wanted to keep it, to which she answered with a resounding No...
Now you see it.

Now you don't

Due Date Belly Photos

If you thought the belly was big before... LOOK AT IT NOW! Today is the due date which is based on an early ultra sound done in week 16, so we're fairly sure that it is accurate. At the last doctor visit induction was scheduled for April 28th but everyone present didn't think it would take that long. Dr. Faig has been a great doctor and we have come to enjoy the visits. He is realistic and always gives us an educated answer to our questions along with an explanation that is clear and concise.
Kristen's co-workers have a pool going and she's betting on the 21st! I've not placed a wager but am pulling for this Friday as well. With finals the next two weeks things are sure to get interesting.
This past Sunday was our one year anniversary and we celebrated by going to brunch at the Marriott in downtown San Jose. The food was delicious and we both ate way too much.
Other than that things have been rather uneventful and we're just patiently waiting for the baby to be born. With any luck the next post will be nothing but baby.

April 6th Belly Photos

The Baby is Coming... The Baby is Coming...
We went to birthing class this past weekend, are nearly done pre-registering with the hospital, the bag is half packed so we're almost ready to go. The baby moves around quite a bit at night and I can feel him/her moving while we lay in bed. The baby room is all put together and Kristen has washed all of the baby clothes, bedding and blankets in preparation.
The best is yet to come and we can't wait!
